Frank and I lived together for four years. When I adopted him in the spring of 2007, he was already approximately 8 years old. Frank was an incredibly personable rabbit and we became fast friends. In the spring of 2011, he stopped eating hay and soon afterwards, the vet found a tumour in his throat. Frank never recovered from his surgery, so on the morning of May 30th, I had him put down.
I discovered the online rabbit community while researching rabbit care and behaviour in the summer of 2007, and I started blogging for myself that winter. Other people’s blogs were and have continued to be invaluable resources for me in my quest to understand and do my best by rabbitkind. I hope for my blog to add to that pool of knowledge and experience so I have chosen to keep it online for posterity, and as a memorial to my best bun. I wish to thank everyone who enjoyed FrankBlog over the years; your feedback and interest have been sincerely appreciated.
